How do you save money decorating for spring?  

Budget friendly tip #1:

Bring in a few new elements each season and use what you have from past years.

This year, I received 3 spring prints from paperhouseprintshop I chose neutral and minimalist spring designs and sprinkled them throughout my home.  I love this company because it’s a small woman-owned business with such high quality prints for a fraction of the cost.  The 11 X 14 size only cost $11.97.  Here are the prints that I chose:  

Budget friendly seasonal decorating tip #2:

Buy faux flowers for spring and use them from year to year or go hunting for fresh flower stems outside. 

My favorite places to shop faux flowers are Hobby Lobby and Target.  I buy the faux flowers at Hobby Lobby 50% off which makes them really affordable.  I prefer white blooms and green leaves but add in some pink blooms and purple lavender.  

I also bought some preserved moss and placed it around my faux tree in a large basket I had in my living room.  This adds height to my tree and has a more dramatic effect.  

Budget seasonal decorating tip #3:  

For open shelving, add in a few seasonal items around the items you display year round.  For example, I always keep coffee mugs and serving platters on display because I use them weekly.  It is both beautiful and functional.

For spring decor, I put faux flowers in my thrifted vases that  I DIY’d last year.  I added in some moss bunnies from the Target Dollar Spot (from last year) to finish it off.   

This season, I bought two cement bunnies from the Target Dollar Spot for $3 each and placed them in my entryway.  I love the modern take on a traditional Easter decoration.
